- 13 years of experience teaching in the public school system, teaching 2nd and 3rd grades
- Graduate of Harris Stowe College with B.S. in Education
- Graduate of National Louis, Chicago, Master of Science
- Graduate of Lindenwood University, St. Charles, Master of Arts in Education of Administration
- Has three daughters
